French food and wine are of interest to probably anyone who has an interest in France: but as my non-British visitors won't be particularly interested in popping over the Channel to pick up cheap French booze, or my British visitors in having their French wine delivered from Boston (unless the original Boston, in Lincolnshire!), I have indicated with a flag who the link, or information, is aimed at. No flag means that it's (I hope) of interest to all.

This is a bit different. WineShare was the first company to make the dream of "owning" your own French vines a reality. Sixteen years on they have more than 5,000 subscribers who pick grapes and enjoy the wine from ‘their’ vineyard often with their own label.
Majestic Wine Warehouses are the UK's biggest mixed case wine retailer with over 100 stores nationwide and an award-winning website.  Majestic customers benefit from FREE delivery in mainland UK, which is carried out directly from local Majestic stores in Majestic vans by Majestic staff, all arranged at a time to suit the customer. Majestic also operate three stores in northern France (at Calais and Cherbourg), where you can pre-order and then pick up your booze. If you order more than £500 worth, you get a free ferry crossing. Not bad, but you might end up with a hangover!
Primewines     Primewines deal with top European and domestic wineries. Every single wine is pictured and described in detail. Very easy ordering system.

French wine site
Good, fun, site about French wines. Lots of information about wine history, soils, wine types and with interactive things to do. Great click on maps so that you can look at different regions. Not for 'connaisseurs' of the English language though (well, if they can be snooty, so can I)
I recommend this site for those interested in French Toast
Food for thought. Here's a recipe for French Onion Soup
