This web site was originally inspired by the first book by Alan Biggins. Well now there are three of them..

30 Great Days Out in Brittany is a new type of guide book to a wonderful area. The innovations in this book are both in approach (map based rather than A to Z) and practicality. Click here to find out more. To order it, please use the Order books link, below......

A Normandy Tapestry tells the story of the Biggins family. Alan, Ann and their children Alice and David. The family moved to France while Alan studied for a degree in French. It tells of their time settling into a rural French lifestyle, and the wider story of Normandy itself. Selling French Dreams was written after A Normandy Tapestry had gone through three print runs. It continues the Biggins story, concentrating on the author's time selling French houses (the dreams of the title). It has been called the most important non-technical book ever written about French property. Maybe. It's certainly the most amusing.
